UFO-Norway
- UFO-NORWAY is, since 1973, a collection of persons and groups from all over Norway, with the phenomenon U.F.O. as a common interest.
- UFO-NORWAY collect, process and study all available information on UFOs in Norway.
- UFO-NORWAY do information activity to its subscribers and to the public, through the journal UFO, to help contribute to a greater understanding of UFO as a reality.
- UFO-NORWAY strives for the use of scientific principles and methods in its investigation.
- UFO-NORWAY is open to any and all hypothesis and theories which may represent possible solutions to the UFO enigma, and will not attribute unidentified reports to any particular theory.
UFO-NORWAY are seeking to establish a "network" of interested persons all over the nation, so as to register and detect UFO phenomena. As far as practically possible we visit the places and conduct interviews with the observers. Where relevant, consultations with civilian and military authorities and institutions are being done. The organisation works to investigate, correlate, and catalog UFO reports at a national Report center, including contacts with sister organisations in Scandinavia and other countries.
Our purpose is - in cooperation with other organisations, groups and individuals, including scientists, Royal Norwegian Defence and universities - to reach one or several solutions to the phenomenon of UFO reports.
"THE GREATEST SCIENTIFIC MYSTERY OF OUR TIME"
UFO-Norway uses the following definitions:
UFO - Unidentified Flying Object (or an unknown atmospheric phenomenon):
A reported phenomenon in the sky or upon the land, the appearance, trajectory, and general dynamics and luminescent behaviour of which do not suggest a logical conventional explanation and which is not only mystifying to the original percipients but remains unidentified after close scrutiny of all available evidence by persons who are technically capable of making a commonsense identification, if one is possible.
USO - Unidentified Submarine Object (or an unknown submarine phenomenon):
A reported phenomenon below the surface of or going down into/up from bodies of water, the appearance, trajectory, and general dynamics and luminescent behaviour of which do not suggest a logical conventional explanation and which is not only mystifying to the original percipients but remains unidentified after close scrutiny of all available evidence by persons who are technically capable of making a commonsense identification, if one is possible.
